there is so much happening in the world. and we are most interested in what is happening within you. we hope you are navigating these times with grace and ease. we pray that your heart is being caressed with courage and that your minds are carried with the buoyancy of hope. and we all know deep in our souls that the only way out of difficult situations is together. even while we are being advised to practice social distancing let’s dream up ways of being and holding each other together. we hope that each of you and your families and loved ones are healthy and well and finding ways to navigate this turbulent storm.
the world around us is in chaos and it might be a time when we feel isolation, hopelessness and fear. in the midst of all this we choose to dance and allow the dance and our practice to grow our capacity to navigate these difficult realities and our feelings. we breathe. we dance. we breathe again. and as we dance we can find a way to be with ourselves, each other and the world through this. may we continue to find our feet and to find alternative ways to connect to ourselves, to each other and to the world.
whether we are in our living room, on the streets, in a parking lot or out in the forest, dance is a resource and medicine to keep our bodies and spirits healthy and happy. connecting with each other and feeling connected is a necessity of being human. nothing compares to being in physical contact with the ones we love and care about and during these times we are grateful for this alternative way of being in the company of others. we hope you are finding ways to ground and stay centered through these challenging times.
